Synacky: New Years

"Brian, " I giggled, "can I look yet?"

My boyfriend, Brian Haner Jr. held his hands over my eyes and walked down his house hallway. It's a narrow wooden hallway with little to nothing in it.

"Walk left!" He told me, with a tiny snicker.

"I'm not going to amuse you by running into your bathroom door, asshole." I replied, with a tiny smirk. I pretty much know this hallway in and out.

"Damn." He sighed.

Today, it's New Years Eve and Brian said he had a surprise for me. 4 years ago on the same day I asked him to by my boyfriend. I had showered, came to his house with my hair going softly down over my eyebrows, and my eyeliner ready. But, we don't seem to be going anywhere.  I'd walked in to his big house to find him with a tux on (probably rented), and his chestnut locks sticking up in ever direction. His cocoa eyes were outlined in black, which made them stand out as dashing as always. His beautiful tanned face and sharp cheekbones topped off his gorgeous pink, plush lips were the most amazing thing I could possibly ask for. I was still amazed that he was mine. His long slender fingers covered my eyes and we walked, it was more of a penguin waddle, down the hallway. I could feel the cold breeze as he stepped in front of me to open his patio door, leading outside. It was a chilly December night.

"Can I look now?" I asked, running my hand over his fingers.

"Zacky!," he whined, "you're so impatient!" He said to me, but he still look his hands away from my eyes and moved to stand next to me.

"The real show starts in about 2 minutes, babe." He said.
I looked around trying to see what he was talking about. I looked around his back yard. There was nothing different about it. All I could see was the bird bath and a whole bunch of dog shit. I looked up to see thousands of stars twinkle in the night sky.

"What is i-" I started, but was cut off by an explosion up in the sky. I looked up in awe, at the exploding blue and silver colors. Fireworks.

Another one went off, blooming red and aqua sparks.
"Oh, Brian! They're beautiful." I gasped, watching another two fireworks shoot up and blow.

"Keep watching." He told me, with a tiny smirk. I smiled brightly, like a little kid, getting their first Mountain Dew. Brian's eyes sparkled beautifully in the light. I continued to watch as a collage of green's and purple's went up and showered down.  I bomb of orange went up, shaping into the letter "M" I looked over to Brian to see him looking at me with a small smile and a loving gaze. About 4 more went up and the letters, "A", "R", another "R", and a "Y" sparkled brightly. My heart started to thud harder, and I took Brian's hand, entwining his tattooed fingers with mine. I squeezed his hand lightly and watched another go up in a dark red burst. It was the letter "M". A ear to ear grin painted itself onto my face. Another one went up and it was a "E", and the "E" was a mix of dark purple, and light blue.

"Zee" He said, a little embarrassed.

"Yes!" I yelped, turning around and slamming his lips against mine passionately. It kind of surprised him, but then he wrapped his arms around me bringing me into his broad chest.
He pulled out a diamond ring, slipping it onto my finger, while never breaking from the lip-lock. I broke off the kiss and looked down at it. It shined in the moonlight. It was beautiful.

While I was looking at it, my lover was looking at me. I looked at him and he immediately said, "Be mine?"

"Forever" I said, sealing it with a kiss.
